Autumn Picture Books

As we move into autumn, it’s time to refresh our book shelves. Now is the time to gather together all all your favourite stories that conjure up those feelings of crisp mornings, hushed walks, falling leaves and snuffling hedgehogs.

Seasonal books are such a joy to include in your bedtime reading, morning baskets and read-alouds. They mark the turning of the year with such beautiful stories, and illustrations full of autumn colours. By introducing little ones to the changing of the season and all that it brings, these books become the perfect springboard for nature walks, weather studies, art projects and sparking their curiosity of the world around them.

These have been curated by being very mindful to the needs of a UK bookworm! So each book should be findable from any good bookshop, or ordering from your local library. The Gruffalo Nature Trail is an exception when it comes to libraries, due to it being a sticker book!

I would love to hear which books are gracing your bookshelves this autumn! Do join in the conversation here in the comments or with the Cupboard community on social media!
